A tree is planted

It was another fall day here in Vancouver.
Mom really wanted to plant a Japanese Maple Tree so today Louise went with her to buy "Crimson Queen" a red leafed maple (well there aren't any leaves on the tree right now) but there should be in the spring).
They dug the hole and then added some of the many leaves from around the neighbourhood and in it went.

Our smaller visitor yet

I am a bit behind on the blog but I wanted to introduce you to our smallest visitor yet...Jacob.

He came with his mom Tricia all the way from Regina! He was a good guest and enjoyed his time with us, I think though he mostly slept while here.

New to us

Louise has requested I put up pictures of her exciting find from this past weekend.
We love Craig's list (see enteries from July).
We have been wanting to replace our old piano bench with a piano stool.
New ones just didn't fit the style of our piano room/ West Coast Indian Room.
But this one came up on Saturday and Roger and Louise drove out to Coquitlam to see and buy it! Louise's favourite thing about the stool is the brass "fish" feet!

Halloween Haunts

Our first Halloween at the house was filled with a lot of questions...
Where do we put the pumpkins?
How do we attach the sets of pumpkin lights?
How many "trick or treaters" will we have?

Louise spent a lot of time creating part of our Halloween display.
I think the pictures speak for themselves!

We ended up with over 100 visitors to our door!
