Boxing Day Snowout

We drove to Surrey with our turkey in the trunk of the car for our traditional family dinner on Christmas Day. The picture was taken in the white room at my Aunt Sandy's.
We made it with no trouble (the main roads are clear) but I'm sure about getting my car out of the garage anytime soon as I drove in instead of backing in. And yes it is snowing again and has been for many hours now. The gift that just keeps on giving!

Merry Christmas Everyone!

We are spending our first Christmas in the new house and all our old stuff is here but in a new setting! It was a wintery wonderland for sure. See the night picture! We think it looks like a Gingerbread House.
Click below for the latest video from the backyard and our back door. I wanted to post it before the slush and thaw starts.

More snow, again.

Now the first time it snowed it was festive.
Now it is really annoying. Our church services are cancelled for tonight and Louise is out shovelling snow again. We think we had about 5 inches last night.
This brings our birdbath snow gage to about 15 1/2 inches and as you can see in the picture it is still snowing.
Roger is in Calgary and we wanted to show all of you how much snow we really have.
Louise cleaned his car off a few days ago so this is only the last two snow falls.
We have had the city truck come along and clean some snow away but not in the last 24 hours.
I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas in the snow or not.

Snow, more snow in Vancouver?!

Yes it is true in Vancouver we are continuing to have snow.
Mom and I made it to church this morning and then it snowed another inch while we were there.
Driving on the main roads are fine but the side streets are "winter driving".
Play our movie to see the latest snow storm.

I do have to tell you that even in this snowy time in Vancouver I was amazed when I was shopping yesterday that I saw a hummingbird!
I actually stopped to watch (and made others do the same) it as it seemed so out of place to see this tiny bird searching for flowers in the sub-zero temperatures. But it did find a flowering bush on 41st Ave.

Snowy Day

As rare as it is Vancouver did received snow last night. Here are a few pictures.

A tree is planted

It was another fall day here in Vancouver.
Mom really wanted to plant a Japanese Maple Tree so today Louise went with her to buy "Crimson Queen" a red leafed maple (well there aren't any leaves on the tree right now) but there should be in the spring).
They dug the hole and then added some of the many leaves from around the neighbourhood and in it went.

Our smaller visitor yet

I am a bit behind on the blog but I wanted to introduce you to our smallest visitor yet...Jacob.

He came with his mom Tricia all the way from Regina! He was a good guest and enjoyed his time with us, I think though he mostly slept while here.

New to us

Louise has requested I put up pictures of her exciting find from this past weekend.
We love Craig's list (see enteries from July).
We have been wanting to replace our old piano bench with a piano stool.
New ones just didn't fit the style of our piano room/ West Coast Indian Room.
But this one came up on Saturday and Roger and Louise drove out to Coquitlam to see and buy it! Louise's favourite thing about the stool is the brass "fish" feet!

Halloween Haunts

Our first Halloween at the house was filled with a lot of questions...
Where do we put the pumpkins?
How do we attach the sets of pumpkin lights?
How many "trick or treaters" will we have?

Louise spent a lot of time creating part of our Halloween display.
I think the pictures speak for themselves!

We ended up with over 100 visitors to our door!

Cookies cookies and more cookies

My Girl Guides had their Halloween Party last night and I made ghost cookies for them to decorate. There were a few left over and so I had to ice them today.

Yes we can communicate with the outside world!

For those who have been following along. You know we lost both our email user names and our phone number of 45 years. Thankfully everything is now alright.
You may phone us at our old number and email us at our old email addresses!

Weather at the new house

We still don't have window coverings so we can see the weather systems come and go.
I took this picture from the living room looking North but from the EAST side of the house you could see the entire rainbow!

First birthday in the house

It was mom's birthday today and she was the first person to celebrate a birthday in the new house. She also hosted the Vancouver "Gold" Trefoil Guild tonight and there was appies and cake. One of the members of our Guild, Wendy, is shown bringing in the cake.
The cake was from the bakery just down the block on Victoria Drive and it was delicious.
Happy Birthday Mom!

Pumpkin Loaf

So I have officially baked in my oven now.
This recipe is fabulous. It is like the pumpkin loaf found at Starbucks.
It is yummy! Email me if you want the recipe!

More boxes!

So Mom wanted me to post the picture of the boxes that are in the TV room.
I think she hopes they will all mysteriously find themselves a place somewhere in the house.

The moon out our window

Pod goes Bye Bye

This morning the pod went back to where it came from. Before 7am in the morning is really early!
Bye pod. The only problem is now we have a very large pile of boxes in the TV room.
I am hoping that the weather holds a while longer on one of the upcoming weekends so we can have a "we moved and can't fit these things in our new house" SALE.

Happy Thanksgiving

The container with our remaining boxes arrived on Sunday and in the sunshine Louise, Roger and mom removed the boxes. I was busy cooking Thanksgiving dinner.

It was definately a challange but we did get a lovely meal on the table for Thanksgiving.

Having the cooktop downstairs and the turkey cooking upstairs was a very unique cooking situation.

There was a good crowd and we even had visitors from Australia.

The Ranges are Here!

So it was an exciting day but an unexpected one.
Much to our surprise (the company didn't tell us they were coming) our two ranges arrived today. This meant trying to contact the plummer that did the work on our house (on the long weekend) to see if he could come and connect the gas. Well as you can imagine the outcome.
Tomorrow being Thanksgiving dinner it potentially leaves us with two ovens but only one stove top and the working stove top is downstairs. Urgh.
We have decided to treat tomorrow like Girl Guide camping on two different campsites and we will put the whole meal together upstairs.

Pictures on the walls

So while we continue to wait for land line and ADSL (they think maybe next Wednesday) we are starting to put our favourite photos and paintings on the wall. Working with drywall is a new thing for us so we have been cautious up to now.

I finally put up my towel bar and hook in the bathroom and was able to hang a few pictures and my kitchen clock!

Mom wanted her favourite picture (that was taken by dad) to be hung where she would see it every day so the foot of the stairs seemed like a good spot.

Still waiting

So if we haven't heard from us don't feel bad. We still don't have phone or internet service.
We discovered that when the Telus sub-contractor came to hook us up that their was no space left on the pole.
So we are still without service and don't know when we will. :(
Hopefully soon.

Our first dinner

Today a "loaner stove" was delivered. It was amusing to me that it is the same model as the ones at PW.

We didn't need a range yesterday as it was Sushi Friday.

So I heated up a meal from Costco and we toasted our first meal in the house.
Louise picked apples from the 4610 house and we enjoyed an apple crisp for dessert! Yummy!

My find of the day was a nifty ottoman at Moe's for the piano room and it is in a lovely red colour and looks great in that room.

A lot Moved

Well I am taking a break from packing. We have the evening news on (which means SHAW has turned on our cable!).

Thanks Heidi P. for our first home warming card.

Except for the rain the moving went really well. All the large stuff has now been moved in by Hammond, Chris, Bob, and Tom from Bekins. They were very effecient, nothing is broken and no major scuffing on the walls. The piano is in place and now needs tuning! We would recommend them to anyone moving. They were fun to have around while going through the packing.

We can't fit everything in the kitchen yet and we haven't yet moved all the pots and pans but we are seeing a lot of progress all over the house.
Another Telus issue! They didn't come today to reconnect us. They disconnected us last Friday for ADSL and on Monday for regular phone service. It took a 48 minute conversation to get a Monday service call next week and as compensation a month of free internet service. Of course I cannot log on to telus now. Makes me wonder whether a malicious employee pulled the plug on our service after phone call. What do you think?
Louise and Roger are putting felts on all the furniture upstairs as to not disturb the hardwood.
So I guess I should get back to work and unpack something. What to do next? We still can't cook anything as our ranges aren't scheduled to be here until Saturday. :(

October 1st

It was a beautiful fall October day and we tried to move as much we could today as the forecast for tomorrow is rain, Friday...rain, Saturday...rain well you get the picture.
Wish us all luck.

So excited, new stuff arrives

Today our sofas arrived!

The loveseat is still in the packaging as we wait for the piano to be placed in the room first.

The sofa in the living room looks very lovely. I really like the pillows.

It was brought up the stairs by two very nice men from the Furniture Spot. They thanked us for our business and said to let all our friends know about the company.

The local company makes the sofas and are able to deliver them in about two weeks! Luck us.

Appliances sort of...

Well the best layed plans...

We did order six appliances but sadly we only received four.

Both fridges arrived and are working fine (only one drawer arrived cracked). The washer and dryer have been broken in as the first loads have been completed already. Louise says, "they work".

The ranges did not arrive. We were told ahead that the baking kitchen stove would not arrive with the rest of the order and the upper floor kitchen range arrived but in the wrong colour. In desperation I went to Costco on my way home and bought a microwave. Now we can make popcorn if only we had some.

Louise and Roger are now living at the house as their new bed has arrived and they need to guard all our appliances.

The day we got the keys!

Well today was a big day.
At noon mom and Louise met the builder/seller of our new home and received the keys. Our realtor Norm was there and he helped us celebrate the occasion with a few treats I had bought on the way to the house.
I thought the occasion called for some bubbly and I found a bottle a bigger than then type you find on airlines. Just big enough to share a sample and then we had to get to work!
Today was "seal the grout' day.
What a task with so much tile on the floors and in the hallway downstairs as well as the bathrooms shower stalls ---then upstairs there was the kitchen and two bathrooms. We worked dilgently until about 7pm and then we just had to stop as our hunger got the best of us.
Thank godness for White Spot. I really enjoyed the Thai Prawn special. The waitress warned it was going to be hot. I would say only 3 chili peppers out of five.
Oh, after dinner Louise and I stopped by Ikea (open until 9pm on Sat) to pick up some shelf liner paper and Home Depot in order to get a few things. For your information the Richmond HD is closed early on Saturday night so we had to go to the one on Terminal Ave. it's open until 10pm!

Closing and Pocession Dates

Yesterday mom issued her largest cheque ever to pay for our lovely new home. The lawyers have been busy and the closing date was today. We are close to having all the defiencies complete so we can see the end at the light of the tunnel of our moving journey.
On Saturday we should receive the keys and then we begin trying to make our house our home.
Our first task will be to seal the grout on all the tiled surfaces. This will mean four bathrooms and three tiled floors throughout the house! Does anyone have any favourite tile sealing products? Let us know.

Painted

The suite on my side of the house is now painted and it looks fabulous.
So glad we had it done before we moved in.
Mom and Louise met with Timothy (a window covering consultant) and I am happy to report we will have window coverings soon.
Only five more days until we officially get the keys.

Window Coverings

After lots of looking we think we have decided what we would like on about 12 of the 17 windows we have to cover. Rollerblinds, curtains, both, and S cruve vertical blinds so far.
Our last windows that need covering are the large bay windows in the living room and kitchen, the dining room window and the masterbedroom. We are at such a loss of what to put there that we are having a consultant from Arlene's come in and help.
If only they would call us.

Thanks for all who pointed out my typo from the last entry. I have now corrected it.
I have to tell you --- yes I am a bad typist --- but it is hard to type with the lettering missing (no longer visible on the keys). I still sometimes I like to look down at the keys.

I am excited that my bathroom, hallway, bedroom and kitchen will be painted this weekend "driftstone". It's a CIL colour that I quite like.

We found not one SOFA bed but two!

Well things are progressing along with the move.

We have hired a moving company and have worked out what we will move and what we will have the four movers do. It will all be done in one day! That moving does not include the the storage bin that is somewhere out in Delta.

So with movers hired it was back to our checklist of "To Dos".

This week the focus has been furniture. The house may look big from the pictures but wow each room has limited dimensions to get furniture into.

This has been a huge challange as we want to have lots of places for guests to come and sit on stuff or even sleep on!

It has been hard slogging through the many stores that sell sofas.

Louise was first to find one for the TV room on the main floor. It was found at EQ3 (on Granville Street). The colour she choose was "sahara" and will be nice leather!
The magic diamension numbers for our 'Westcoast Indian' room have given us the most grief.

It is a small North facing room and will house the piano. Our concept was to have a piece of furniture that you could go into that room and read a book.

If you are travelling through YVR (as a single) this will be the room for you.

Well only if we could find a loveseat that had a very short (as in length once the bed was extended) bed.

After seeing many, many, many sofas Louise found a local company in Richmond called
the Furniture Spot. They have a a factory here in BC and we liked the sizes of the sofas and the prices too. The best part is they can custom make your sofa in under three weeks!

So if all goes well we should the sofas ready just after or about the same time we are ready to move into the house.

We bought one for the living room and one for the 'Westcoast Indian' themed room at the same store. Throw pillows came with both of the purchases so pictured are the ones we liked best for the different rooms with the fabric we have choosen for each sofa.

Now onto window coverings. Help!

A funny thing happened...

So today a funny thing happened on the way to find a sofa. We were all charged up from our success from yesterday and we headed off in search of a sofa with bed (or not).

We went to Sofa So Good on 8th Ave. We sat on a few sofas and we liked one floor model (especially the price) but it wasn't a sofabed. Then as I wandered around I saw these nice chairs.

Now we have wanted to replace our dining room chairs for awhile but never got around to it. If you had sat in the old ones you will remember that they were well a little soft and you would sink down towards the floor quite quickly. They were really hard on the back and weren't that comfortable to sit in for long periods of time.

Now these chairs I really liked the fabric on these ones and they were so comfortable to sit on.
We sat on more sofas and then looked at the chair fabric more carefully on some cushions sitting on one of the sofas. WE think it will match the flooring and the wall colour nicely. The more we looked at the fabric the more we liked it. Mom took it outside and it was nice in sunlight too.
We were really excited at the price, $99 a chair!

Sadly they only had 5 (what an odd number) but we bought all and brought them home in several car trips this afternoon.

I can happily say that we had a Chinese dinner at our old oak table sitting in our new chairs!

Now after our weekend shopping adventures we can not only feed (from the to be delivered ranges and fridges) but you will also have a comfortable seat to sit in!

Shopping isn't always fun

I am the shopper of the family and have even been known to go on short shopping vacations.

So getting the other members of the family to shop is difficult at best.

Now add the shopping of a whole household of appliances, sofas etc.

After several days of endless shopping I can happily say that when you come to visit we will be able to prepare food for you and let you do laundry if needed.

Thank you to Ed at Trail for making our shopping a good experience.

I chose the above Whirlpool Range (in white) with a convection oven for my baking kitchen!

All is well

We had an inspection of the house and all is well.
There are the typical list of deficencies but it is all little stuff.

As of now we are renters. The sign is gone from the front lawn and it feels a little bit weird to be living in a home that is not your own.

The end of the month will come fast enough as we take pocession on the 27th and we will have rented the house until Oct 31st as to move at our leisure (or when we can get the best price with moving companies).

I have been asked by the family to add to the blog the question,
"Has anyone has dealt with any window covering company in Vancouver and could recommend them"?
We need to buy blinds for a whole house and have no idea where to start.
Please let us know if you have ideas about this.

...Good News

Well you never know what may come your way on any given day.

On Monday we were feeling pretty low after our offer on a house was rejected.
We were driving around in Louise's Echo looking at "just listed" homes and I pointed out a house that I had seen on the MLS and I said well that one is for sale. There was no sign outside the property.
It was a NEW home and at the beginning we weren't looking at new homes because of the GST (boo 5% GST).
It was a milk chocolate brown colour with teal front doors. Roger thought it was a yummy chocolate colour. He likes chocolate.
When got home we discovered that the price was in our range even with the GST.
On Tuesday we went to see the house. It is on Commercial Street (not to be confused with Commercial Drive) and for those who know Vancouver it is one very long block from Victoria Drive or three blocks from Knight (with Kensington Park taking up a chunk of 33rd Ave before Dumfries, Lanark etc).
The house is on a corner lot at 35th Ave.
IT HAS A VIEW! of the North Shore Mountains and a bit of the city too. Because it is on the corner it will always have an unobstructed view!
The best views are from living room and front rooms on both the upper and ground floors.
The house is much different from the cookie cutter shape of the new homes that are of the same vintage because it is oriented with the front door along the longer side.
We really liked the different layout on the ground level floor.
This house has larger bathrooms for everyone and the sage coloured painted walls throughout with white ceilings which are attractive.
The only thing we did not like is that the kitchen is smaller in this house than in other new homes.
Now I have been promised that a "Baking Kitchen" will be made out of one of the suites' kitchens. My bedroom will be next to the baking kitchen .
I will be looking for the biggest oven I can get in the space provided in the kitchen area.
My grey KitchenAid mixer will look nice on the countertop.

So with the entire gang agreeing on this house, an offer was made today and was accepted!

We will be able to move in late September if everything goes according to plan but we can move at our leisure if we want as we have rented our Elgin Street house until the end of October.

Yipee!

No news is...

So we did put an offer on a house on Friday but the sellers were "sad" at the offer.
I guess they didn't expect the market to dip down and they seam set on getting their list price.
So we are back to looking daily at houses on MLS.
We eagerly await the daily emails (from MLS) and we are looking at a newly built house today.
Keep those positive thoughts coming our way!

It's too darn hot!

It was too hot to house hunt but we did anyway. The temperatures were over 30C and no wind to speak of.
Roger joined the family next door and sold some items at his own yard sale today. I think he appreciated the shade of the giant birch tree and a lawn chair.
Thank goodness for AC in the car as we did our viewings today.
We saw two new listings. One was in the Killarney area near Boundary and 49th Ave.
The rooms we all large and spacious, five bathrooms, the neighbourhood was quiet but it would be a lot longer communte for me. I think too far from the area we have been hoping for and there was no view!
The second house was only a block away from our current house. The funny thing is the house picture on the MLS was the previous MLS photo of a small little knock-down house that we could not see it being worth the money they were asking. I felt bad for the listing agent and emailed to tell them about the error.
This house was on a 42ft lot and it makes a big difference to the room sizes to have an extra 9 ft or so to work with. Surprisingly there are views to be had even in our little area of YVR. I enjoyed the master bathroom view of the Lions.
Nothing has really inspired us yet. So the search continues.
After the hot day today in YVR I would suggest adding to our list of things in the new house must have --central air (of course it would only be used once or twice a year)!

More viewing of houses

So I guess you have been wondering where we are at with the house hunt. Still hunting.
I had no idea the homes for sale would be in such bad condition or that tenants would be such slobs.
Even the house we liked the tenants I think would leave quite a mess behind upon their departure as there was stuff on the floors, wet showers etc.
So almost everyday we have looked at a house or several houses.
Yesterday we looked at a NEW house in the Langara area. Nice neighbourhood.
We liked the layout better than some of the new houses but it didn't have a view and had a very noisy young child living next door that would be home all day everyday. Another thing that was odd was their were already tenants in the both of the suites(it was a NEW house?). Hmmmm.
We also looked at an older home in the Kensington area. It was definately the cleanest of the older homes we have seen so far. No view and it was a warm day yesterday and I found it very stuffy inside (for goodness sake open some windows and doors!). The owners were also there at the veiwing time and that just doesn't feel right when trying to view a home objectively.
So that's where we stand today. Not a lot of hope at the moment.
Roger asked what our worst case scenario is at the moment. Well we can rent back for 2 months (that takes us to Oct 31st) and if we do find something and they have tenants we would have to find it by the end of the month or we really will be homeless on Nov. 1st.
Anyone have a spare room?

Sunday, August 10, 2008

At last a nice house to view.

Today we saw a nice house for a change!
The house is near the church mom and I attend.
It is on a nice street of both newer and well-kept houses.
The bedrooms are small but the other areas are a good size.
The view from the kitchen, master bedroom and deck are of the city and mountains.
There is nice landscaping in the frontyard and backyard. Everything is well cared for.
We have booked an appointment to see the house again because currently there are tenants on the main floor. More waiting.

Keeping you posted

If you have been following along with us you would know that today was the magic day.
So Sold or not Sold?
Well, due to some incomplete paper work with the buyers mortgage company we have agreed to an extention of one more day. Hopefully we should know tomorrow morning.
On the positive side the family wanting to buy the house is very motivated. The buyers presently live on the street (the house to the south of the church on Elgin), they live in their brother's home, they have two young children( would like to stay at the same school - McBride Annex) and I think living here at this address would allow 'grandma' to babysit without having to move in to this house.
Our fingers are ALL crossed that we will HAVE to start our house hunt on Thursday.

This is an Open House?

So being a nice sunny long weekend Sunday we decided to go see a few houses.
Our agent is a bit superstitious about seeing houses before you have sold the one you are selling(he was outta town anyway) but I really thought we should at least get an idea for the market is like just in case we are looking for something soon.
Now this was a long weekend and there weren't that many houses to see but I narrowed it down to three in our price range, in the decided upon neighbourhood and houses that were not on busy street and with the potential for a view of the mountains.
House #1 off of Victoria Drive. Yes it had a view. Is it me or should you not be cooking in the house when it is 'open' for viewing? And would you have sleeping people in the bedrooms? What about tenants who are in the basement sleeping on the floor while their children watch tv? Or what about clothes on the floor of the rental rooms? I really hope they were clean but I didn't feel that way after leaving the house. It's too bad as the house might have had potential I just couldn't get past the weirdness of it all.

House #2 off of Rupert Street. Yes it had a view too. I was shocked at the condition of the rentals. Only one was avaliable for viewing. It was in rough shape and the agent warned us that the carpets had just been cleaned and were still wet. Yuck. Upstairs we were not sure what think. There were people in the living room area. Not quite sure who they were. The upstairs had at least three bedrooms and, well, mattresses in every room on the floor (with suitcases) and all the bathrooms were not very clean. The kitchen was so unclean it was scary, in FoodSafe violation for sure. There were maps on the walls and we think it might have been rented out to visiting Asian students for short term, month to month, or shorter term. There were signs with what looked like rules on charts in the house. I felt sorry for the neglected house.

House #3 was on 30th Ave. between Knight and Victoria (in the Bermuda Triangle of Vancouver - anyone who has tried to find an address in this area knows what I am talking about!).
Also had a view (though not as nice as the other two). This was a 2 year old house, awesomely landscaped and on a corner lot but not. Okay what this means is that it is on a corner of Argyle and 30th Ave but the city must own the extra land (I'd say 8 feet) as there is no sidewalk (but some nice leafy trees) but the frontage on the specs sheet says it's only 31 feet and it is much wider than that! Mom thought the extra green space reminded her of a park. After seeing what we had early in the day this looked like a PNE prize home. It was occupied by a bachelor and the decor included a fuze ball table in the living (no dining room table). It had two suites in the basement. One has access only from the outside. The kitchen in one suite has never been used! The other also occupied by a bachelor and we think he was a DJ.

After seeing this one I have hope that there is some nice property out there waiting for us.

Don't jump Roger!

A few days ago Roger read the report we have on the house. Ever since then he has been trying to correct some of the small things that can easily be completed. "I'd like to do one thing a day" he said. Today after a nice sunny day he decided to check the gutters on the roof. Armed with a bucket he cleared the birch tree debris and now we are ready for the rains of fall (until the tree starts to loose leaves again!). Thanks Roger.

An offer

So we had an offer on the house yesterday and after much back and forth mom accepted the offer!
Now we wait, again. August 5th is the magic date.
Anyone know of a nice, larger, modern home in our area for sale?

Open House

So our first Open House was on a lovely sunny afternoon.

We went to see Wall*e and while we enjoyed the movie while the rest of the world had the opportunity to see the house.
The agent was happy with the turn out and he ran out of handouts!

Now we wait.

Yummy Pie!

For the second dessert in a row we had pie. Now what does this have to do with the house?

We can make good pie in our LARGE kitchen.
Both mom and I both bought blueberries today (we really must use that cell phone more often).
So I made a pie. More accurately I made the filling and then the top crust of the pie as mom had made and frozen a crust (we again are trying to use everything in the freezer).

MLS here we come!

It's another sunny day in Vancouver. A nice day for selling a house?
Our MLS number is: V725008

You can see what we are selling at the MLS listing is up at:
http://mlslink.mlxchange.com/Pub/EmailView.asp?r=1610874691&s=BRC&t=BRC

Norm's website has lots of pictures of the home too.

The sign goes up!

Today was a very big day for the Moon Family! Norm, our agent, came over and mom signed lots
of paperwork to officially sell the house.

The add has already been published in a local reality paper with the Open House being advertised for this Sunday.

Today was also the day more photos were taken for digital purposes so the info can go up on different websites.
The most visible sign the house is up for sale is the for sale sign went up on the front lawn.
The big official wooden sign will go up later as it is installed by a professional company.

Monday, July 21, 2008

Date for the Open House

So the date has been set for an Open House.
It will be open for viewing on Sunday, July 27th from 3-5 pm.
When the MLS goes up I will add a post.
I guess we will go and see a movie during that time.

Sure it is..Aaaaah so easy!

So the day came to laod the temporary storage bin that had arrived at our house.
Louise mapped out with precision the way the bookcases and all the boxes would fit into the container.
I with my bad back went off to the Osteopath to be fixed and by the time I came home only 2 hours later the entire bin was completely done! It's a good thing I brought home lunch and some 'tim bits' as a treat.
Though the container was loaded the packing and disguising our remaining stuff continues.
Now we have to get ready to show the house. My bedroom is reorganised and it looks huge!
The living room is down to the tv, a sofa, two chairs and with the dining room area with table and chairs.
It's Sunday and we are taking a break today. Mom is at Bard on the Beach with a group from our church and Louise and I are off to help out with a tea to celebrate Heidi's mom's birthday.
