Well today was a big day.
At noon mom and Louise met the builder/seller of our new home and received the keys. Our realtor Norm was there and he helped us celebrate the occasion with a few treats I had bought on the way to the house.
I thought the occasion called for some bubbly and I found a bottle a bigger than then type you find on airlines. Just big enough to share a sample and then we had to get to work!
Today was "seal the grout' day.
What a task with so much tile on the floors and in the hallway downstairs as well as the bathrooms shower stalls ---then upstairs there was the kitchen and two bathrooms. We worked dilgently until about 7pm and then we just had to stop as our hunger got the best of us.
Thank godness for White Spot. I really enjoyed the Thai Prawn special. The waitress warned it was going to be hot. I would say only 3 chili peppers out of five.
Oh, after dinner Louise and I stopped by Ikea (open until 9pm on Sat) to pick up some shelf liner paper and Home Depot in order to get a few things. For your information the Richmond HD is closed early on Saturday night so we had to go to the one on Terminal Ave. it's open until 10pm!
