Well things are progressing along with the move.
We have hired a moving company and have worked out what we will move and what we will have the four movers do. It will all be done in one day! That moving does not include the the storage bin that is somewhere out in Delta.
So with movers hired it was back to our checklist of "To Dos".
This week the focus has been furniture. The house may look big from the pictures but wow each room has limited dimensions to get furniture into.
This has been a huge challange as we want to have lots of places for guests to come and sit on stuff or even sleep on!
It has been hard slogging through the many stores that sell sofas.
Louise was first to find one for the TV room on the main floor. It was found at EQ3 (on Granville Street). The colour she choose was "sahara" and will be nice leather!
The magic diamension numbers for our 'Westcoast Indian' room have given us the most grief.

It is a small North facing room and will house the piano. Our concept was to have a piece of furniture that you could go into that room and read a book.
If you are travelling through YVR (as a single) this will be the room for you.
Well only if we could find a loveseat that had a very short (as in length once the bed was extended) bed.
After seeing many, many, many sofas Louise found a local company in Richmond called
the Furniture Spot. They have a a factory here in BC and we liked the sizes of the sofas and the prices too. The best part is they can custom make your sofa in under three weeks!

So if all goes well we should the sofas ready just after or about the same time we are ready to move into the house.
We bought one for the living room and one for the 'Westcoast Indian' themed room at the same store. Throw pillows came with both of the purchases so pictured are the ones we liked best for the different rooms with the fabric we have choosen for each sofa.
Now onto window coverings. Help!

"Soda" beds, eh? He he he. Glad to hear that not only do you have a beautiful house but also very nice furniture for it. I know that shopping for new stuff can be hard. Can't wait to sit on all the new things!
